How to generate db2support files

11 September,2014 by Tom Collins

Question: I’m troubleshooting a DB2 server performance issue. How can I gather  some general DB2 server and process  information and send to a DB2 professional for problem resolution.

Answer: One method is to use the db2support command. This example generates a files connecting to a database. I've added some extra options to consider

db2support . -d my_db_name -c -g -s –f

-c connect to database
-g run on global hosts
-s system detail
-h 10h
-m dump output into html files
