Force connections of a database in DB2

To force connections of a specific database in DB2 , the following will work

---do what you need to do

db2 connect to MYDB
QUIESCE DATABASE IMMEDIATE FORCE CONNECTIONS 
db2 terminate

why we are not using force application all in this situation

himanshu, force will still allow connections. With QUIESCE , it will stop db connections, until an account with suitable privileges can UNQUIESCE
